At PurposeCare, we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.purposecare.com (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site only.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

When you fill out a form, request information, contact us, or apply for a job, we collect the information you choose to give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any details you include in your message.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, device and browser type, general (city/region) location, the pages you view, and how you arrived at and move through the Site.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies in the following categories:

Your control. When you first visit the Site, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Non-essential cookies and third-party tags do not load or transmit any data until you affirmatively agree. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the Site footer. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

Third-party transmission. When you consent to analytics or advertising cookies, some information about your visit (such as the pages you view and online identifiers) is transmitted to the third parties that provide those services, including Google. We do not enable these technologies on care-related or intake pages (see Section 5).

What we do not use. We do not use session-replay, keystroke-logging, or screen-recording technologies on the Site, and we do not use third-party chat tools that transmit the content of your conversations to an independent vendor for that vendor’s own purposes.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information and to decline non-essential cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To respond to you: answer inquiries, process requests, and provide information about our services.
• To provide and improve the Site: understand usage and improve functionality and content.
• To communicate: with your consent, send updates or information you have asked for. You can opt out at any time.
• For recruiting: process and evaluate job applications.
• To meet legal obligations: comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
  
  

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described here:

• Service providers: vendors who help us operate the Site and our business (for example, hosting and website analytics), under contracts that limit their use of the information.
• Advertising partners: if you consent to advertising cookies, we may share limited online identifiers and activity with advertising partners (such as Google). Under some state laws, this may be considered “sharing” or a “sale.” You can opt out (see Section 6 and the Global Privacy Control note above).
• Legal and safety: when required by law or to respond to valid requests by public authorities.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  
  

5. Health Information and Tracking

PurposeCare is a HIPAA-covered healthcare provider, and we treat information about seeking or receiving care with heightened care.

• No advertising or analytics tags on care-related pages. We do not place advertising, targeting, or non-essential analytics technologies on pages used to look for, request, or arrange care (including our “Find Local Care” and location pages) or on intake and contact forms. These pages do not transmit your information to advertising or analytics third parties.
• No third-party disclosure of health-related browsing. We do not knowingly disclose information that links an identifiable individual to the seeking or receiving of healthcare to third parties for those parties’ own advertising or analytics purposes.
• PHI is governed by HIPAA. Protected health information we create or receive in providing care is governed by HIPAA and described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to patients at the start of service and available on request by contacting us at support@purposecare.com. It is not governed by this Site policy.
  
  

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding the personal information we hold about you. Several of the states where we operate (and others) grant these rights under comprehensive privacy laws:

• Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct: ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete: ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
• Portability: receive a copy of certain information in a portable format.
• Opt out: opt out of targeted advertising and of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
• Opt out of marketing: unsubscribe from promotional messages at any time.
• Limit sensitive information: where applicable, limit our use of sensitive personal information (including health-related information) to what is necessary to provide the services you request.
• Non-discrimination: we will not deny you services or treat you differently for exercising these rights.
  
  

How to submit a request

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@purposecare.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. To help us locate your information and verify your identity, please include:

• Your full name and the email address or phone number you have used with us
• The specific right you wish to exercise (for example, access, correction, or deletion)
• Enough detail for us to understand and respond to your request

We will take steps to verify your identity before responding and may contact you to confirm details or request additional information. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days, with the possibility of an extension, in which case we will notify you). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request where the law allows; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may still verify your identity directly. If we decline a request, we will explain why and tell you how to appeal.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, or to resolve disputes, after which we delete or de-identify it.

8. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information through the Site, please contact us, and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated as required by law.
