VA Benefits & Coverage

Many veterans don’t realize how much financial support is available for home care. Several VA benefit programs may help cover the cost of PurposeCare’s services.

VA Home and Community Based Services

The VA offers a range of home and community-based programs designed to help veterans remain independent and at home.

Aid & Attendance Benefit

A pension supplement available to eligible veterans and surviving spouses who need help with daily living activities. This benefit can be used toward the cost of in-home care.

Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC)

A VA program that provides support to family caregivers of eligible post-9/11 veterans.

Veterans Directed Care (VDC)

A program that gives veterans a budget to self-direct their own home care services, including hiring and managing their own caregivers.

Eligibility and benefit amounts vary. For official benefit determinations, contact the VA directly or work with an accredited Veterans Service Organization (VSO).

How Purposecare Works With Veterans

We don’t treat veterans like any other referral.

When a veteran comes to PurposeCare, we work to match them with a caregiver who understands their background and respects their preferences. Care plans are built around the veteran’s specific routines, goals, and comfort.

Family members are kept informed throughout the care relationship. And as a veteran’s needs evolve, so does the plan.

Supporting Military Families

Behind many veterans is a family member who takes on the job of managing medications, attending appointments, and providing round-the-clock home care.

PurposeCare supports military families by offering reliable, consistent respite care that gives family caregivers time to rest without worry. When you need to step back, we can step in.
